LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

North Stradbroke Island, colloquially known as Straddie or North Straddie, is an island that lies within Moreton Bay in the Australian state of Queensland and lies just 30 kilometres southeast of the centre of the Brisbane CBD.

North Stradbroke Island is a place to exhale. Spend a day, a week or a month here and you will feel the importance of this cultural paradise.

Known as Minjerribah to the traditional owners (the Quandamooka People), Straddie has a natural beauty not often seen and a spiritual connection not often felt.

The best freshwater beaches in the world are attached to both the bay and the lakes and North Stradbroke Island is an especially good spot for access to freshwater beaches.

To the east of the island, there’s the Coral Sea, part of the South Pacific and full of colourful sea creatures.

It’s easy to get around Stradbroke Island and see multiple beaches during your holiday here.

You can swim , surf, fish, have a beach run,  go for leisurely walks, watch the sunset, visit the Brown Lake or the Blue lake, take in dinner or lunch

or  just simply relax and soak up the sun.

THE GOOD LIFE

North Stradbroke Island is a unique and picturesque place with an enticing blend of rugged coastal landscapes, tranquil inland lakes and beautiful white sandy beaches.

Whales, dolphins, turtles and manta rays can be seen from the spectacular Gorge Walk at Point Lookout, this at the northern tip of the island and just a few minutes walk from the Samarinda complex.

Stradbroke Island contains important wetlands, freshwater lakes, waterways and lagoons with the tranquil freshwater lakes providing beautiful picnic and swimming opportunities.

The three townships of Dunwich, Amity Point and Point Lookout all boast village atmospheres, with a variety of cafes and restaurants.

During the winter months you can  sit in the sun on your apartment balcony and simply enjoy watching  the whales  as they pass through on their yearly migration!
